Patrick Duffy

Patrick Duffy is a Team Leader for Pharmaceuticals R&D at Ashland. He is responsible for all R&D activities relating to bioresorbable polymers and helps customers with key excipients/materials and technical solutions in the development of extended-release parenteral drug delivery formulations, medical devices, tissue engineering scaffolds, and cosmetics.
He possesses more than 8 years of experience in the bioresorbable polymers space and started his career with Vornia Biomaterials Ltd prior to its acquisition by Ashland. Patrick holds a doctoral and master’s in biomedical engineering from University College Dublin.
Eneko Larrañeta
senior lecturer in pharmaceutical sciences, Queen’s University Belfast
Eneko Larrañeta, Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceuticals at Queen’s University Belfast, holds a PhD in physical-chemistry and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Navarra. Leading a research group on implantable long-acting drug delivery systems at Queen’s for the past seven years, he previously served as a research fellow in microneedle technology at the School of Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast, and in nanotechnology for drug delivery at the Universidad de Navarra.
Dr. Larrañeta is member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the UK Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Society for Applied Microbiology. He has an extensive publication track record and has led multiple research project, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in drug delivery and medical devices.
Andreas Bramböck

Andreas Bramböck is Global Product Manager at MeltPrep where he specializes in new application development and international customer relations. His academic journey led him to conduct research on pharmaceutical technologies at the Research Center of Pharmaceutical Engineering in Graz, where he developed a deep understanding of the practical applications of this field.
Andreas holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Graz University of Technology.
Jonas Lacina
process engineer, Leistritz Extrusion Technology
Jonas Lacina is process engineer, Life Science, Leistritz, responsible for the pharmaceutical and food technical center where he organizes customer trials and develops processes and equipment. He is experienced in various extrusion processes including hot melt extrusion (HME), melt and wet granulation, filament and implant extrusion as well as reactive extrusion and associated downstream and upstream equipment. Jonas supports customers worldwide in trials on-site, especially when it comes to highly potent APIs.
Jonas Lacina holds a bachelor’s and master's degree in nanotechnology with a focus on polymers and biomaterials from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
