Richard Lloyd Giles
Richard Giles is Global Marketing Manager for Ashland and he is responsible for strategy, innovation and business development across the hair care portfolio. With strong routes in product design and consumer science; he is currently focused on creating sustainable solutions for the hair care category. Richard holds masters and Doctorate degrees in medicinal science and chemistry and has 15 years’ experience of developing finished products and ingredient technologies in the personal care, home care and pharmaceuticals industries.

Dave Streuli
David Streuli is a Principal Scientist in Ashland’s Global R&D Care applications group in Bridgewater. He has been with Ashland (formerly ISP) for over 25 years, gaining in-depth experience in the formulation, development and optimization of aerosol care products, contributing to enhancements in product performance evaluation and measurement, and the exploration of properties and benefits of new and existing polymer chemistries and additives. Mr. Streuli is the author of several international publications and patents filed the fields of aerosol technology, polymer science, hairstyling and protection.

Michael Franzke
Michael Franzke works in Ashland’s Global R&D Hair care team in Zwijndrecht NL as principal scientist. He is with Ashland since 10 years working on the development of new hair care ingredients and design applications around these.
Prior to joining Ashland, he served for more than 22 years in product development for Wella and Procter and Gamble in all areas of hair care. He gained in that time a holistic understanding of the mechanisms which drive performance in the different products and how structure of raw materials is connected to that performance.
He successfully lead the R&D work for multiple global product launches of hair care brands in retail and professional business with hundreds of formulations.
This allowed him to gain experience about consumer and professional needs and how to fulfill this needs around the globe. Based on that work he also developed an in depth knowledge about instrumental and consumer based testing of hair care products and how these test approaches are connected.
Beside his product development work he is a primary and contributing author of a number of scientific publications and Inventor/Coinventor of more than 40 granted patents.
Michael Franzke holds a PhD degree in organic chemistry of the University of Marburg.
