Ashland’s team of solvers is looking forward to seeing you at AAPS 2023 PharmSci 360. You will have the opportunity to discover our newest products.
The team will be on hand to discuss the industry’s most complete portfolio of controlled release products that can be designed to meet a variety of release profiles and dosage forms, including functional excipients for parenteral dosage formulations, such as Cavitron™ cyclodextrins for increasing solubility and high purity Vialose™ trehalose dihydrate, an ingredient used to protect and stabilize proteins for biologic medicines.
To address recent industry and marketplace concerns, the Ashland team will be sharing samples of tablets coated with Aquarius™ TF titanium-free coating. Aquarius™ TF film coatings system is one of the fully formulated coatings systems that Ashland offers. When you're ready to formulate, we're ready to work with you. To set up a meeting with us at AAPS, fill out the form below on the right.
at AAPS Ashland will introduce:
Thought Leadership Chalk Talk
date: Tuesday, October 24 at 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm
location: stage 1
presentation title: designing pharmaceutical materials for extrusion enabled continuous manufacturing
overview:
The potential and versatility of twin-screw hot melt extrusion as a central unit process and enabler of continuous manufacturing of oral solid dosage forms is rapidly emerging as a key topic. An essential advantage of this process technology is eliminating the need for water or organic solvents, thus eliminating the often rate-limiting and energy intensive drying step and the associated environmental impact. This talk will focus on critical material attributes and important structure-function relationships and show how these can be deployed to rationally design and select polymeric excipients that are purpose designed for immediate release melt granulation, controlled release, and amorphous dispersion manufacturing via twin screw extrusion.
